Jamia Madarsa

Madrassa is Arabic name for "place of learning from learned tutors". It can be a mosque, a church, a school with classrooms, a room with a teacher in it; a place that includes teacher, space, students and learning.

Madrasas generally taught calculation, grammar, poetry, history and above all the Qur'an and sacred law. At a higher level they taught literary subjects and arithmetic.However , Madarsas are not only meant for just learning Quran. They are actually more then just religious education centre. A madarsa is a multi tasking institution which not only involves religious teaching but also provide other basic education required. It is also a home for orphans and orphans live and are fed in it.
